mTORC1
Protein kinase complex that mediates the action of mTORC pathway. It is activated by many factors [1]:
- Interleukins
- Growth factors
- Hormones
- Neurotransmitters
- Cellular stress
- Energy status
- Oxygen levels
- Amino acids such as leucine, arginine and glutamine.
RagGTPases (RAG A-D) mediate amino-acid signalling to mTORC1.
